Abduction from the Seraglio
Mozart's opera follows the adventures of a young Spanish nobleman, his lover, and their servants who are kidnapped and placed into service to the Pasha, Abduction features showpiece arias alongside moments of uproarious laughter and genuine pathos. The production places the action on the luxurious Orient Express. Two stars of 2010's Barber of Seville return in another comic pairing: David Portillo as the nobleman Belmonte, and Paolo Pecchioli as the Pasha's right-hand man, Osmin. Antony Walker conducts.

Contradiction
The Bach Choir explores how different styles and instrmentation can be used with the same musical material. The twist conceived by Artistic Director Thomas Douglas is accompaniment by a five-piece jazz/rock/fusion band and/or string ensemble. Legally Blonde
